I really wish I did a better job at updating my blog. I want to really step away from the modern tech scene and by doing this I am able to start really doing that. I have decided to use this laptop for my website and calibre. That makes the most scene. For instance, this is my MacBook Air, running debian 13. I also have a Macbook Neo, for my day to day tasks.
This laptop will be great for vacation this week. I am going to Emerald Isle. Rochester NY has been getting a little tad dry, and I am finally glad to be able to relax a bit more.
So far, I have 4 computers, set-up right now. I sold off my MacBook Pro, so I have a thinkpad and a tower running debian in my room. I think that I would probably want to keep my debian tower more than my thinkpad, despite the thinkpads, clear need to be in the space. It just seems off. The thinkpad is really good at only older drives I have, I have it as a standing desk in my bedroom, but really, I don’t think I will really use it much. I want to become a minimalist in this world, and I really only have the ability to use my MacBook Neo, which can be broadcast to the larger monitor via my hdmi extension cord.
Ultimately, I think I will primarily use my MacBook Neo, my large tower computer for most of my backups, and the thinkpad for even more backups. Although, I would want to streamline this
I would even be open to a Mac Desktop in the future, but that would really only be for video edits. Devices don’t all have to be all in one, they can have different purposes. This debian macbook air, is really good for blogposting right now. I think adding the calibre function is a good add on. I basically want my main computer to be all backups for everything, I just have a ton, of extra drives which seem to fill in with the thinkpad.
I am a bit nervous my roommate might be home, I am journaling this in the dark of my apartment. I love to journal, and I am glad I am getting it online. The threads and X, or any other social media needs to be so much more secondary. If you are using this version to get stuff online, it is better by far. That is why I want to start using paper and pen again, as typing is so much different than using the phone. The phone is really great, but that’s another thing, why do I have so many damn phones??? I have 4 of them. Sure, I understand an iPhone and Graphene OS, but two more iPhones 2 iPod touches, an iPod nano square, a HIBY R1 (which I never use), an iPad??? It’s so much tech and I really want to downsize, the benefits of this device is it’s ability to be super portable. It’s just that the functionality are cut off. In no way is this a good computer to watch shorts, stream content, or do high dopamine activities. If you want to master this device, you must focus on the web 1.0. You have Web 1.0 devices, sort of like in Toy Story 5. Focus on the device that get’s the best job done. Like for you right now, it is getting this content on to my blog. Since my blog is web 1.0, with using hugo, I figured it would be the best thing to use.
